About Play in Traffic
The name
Play in Traffic is what these apps help you do: run, ride, and walk through your city. We tried more polished names. None of them were as honest, and none would make your mom smirk when she thought you weren't looking.
Who's building this
Play in Traffic is built by Alec Singleton, a product and engineering leader in Toronto with a background in health tech, wearable hardware, and connected systems.
These apps started as solutions to his own problems: wanting a new running route without planning one, wanting to bike somewhere without gambling on infrastructure, and wanting a better walk than the same three blocks on autopilot. Other people had the same problems, so here we are.
What we make
Three apps. All iOS. All free.
Random Run generates running routes — pick a distance, get three options, go. BikeRight finds the safest cycling route to your destination, scored by real infrastructure. Go for a Walk builds walking loops through your neighborhood with the stops you actually want — parks, coffee, landmarks you've walked past a hundred times without noticing.
No accounts. No tracking. No ads. Your location stays on your phone. We don't want your data.
